Oat Biscuit Recipe


 Ingredients ( makes 12 )

  • 100g margarine or butter
  • 100g porridge oats 
  • 50g caster sugar
  • 50g plain flour 

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C/160° C Fan/Gas 3 
  2. Lightly grease a baking tray.
  3. Cream sugar and butter together into a bowl.
  4. Then add the oats and flour and work into a mixture.
  5. Lightly knead the mixture until smooth and roll out to a thickness of 5mm on a lightly floured work surface
  6. Cut into circles using a biscuit cutter or shape with your hands and place on a prepared baking tray.
  7. Bake in a per-heated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Then lift onto a wire rack and cool
